Jesus asked Peter to do something that appeared to be foolish and a waste of time. The commercial fisherman had just washed and put away his nets after an unsuccessful night of fishing. Yet Jesus–who was not a commercial fisherman–urged Peter and his crew to go back out and lower their nets once again. Even a novice fisherman would have known that it was now too late in the day to catch fish.

During our Investigate Jesus Bible study tonight, we’ll review the evidence as to why Peter obeyed The Preacher from Galilee. If you sense that Christ is urging you to do something that seems foolish and a waste of time, this investigation is for you!
